Juoleanne Betler
Juoleanne is an illustrator that spends most of her day coming up with new stories to illustrate. Fascinated by the way stories can be translated through pictures, she began studying art from a young age with the dream of doing the same. Years later she became a part time art teacher for kids, and after that applied for art school (NAFA).
Now she attends Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in hopes to learn and progress more towards her dream of being a narrative illustrator. Even at her part time job in retailing Juoleanne’s thinking up ideas and drawing behind the cash register.
A lot of her art is about being a third culture kid and grappling with having disabilities in a world that doesn’t always accept difference.
